Strengthening the capacity of our nonprofit sector starts with investing in nonprofit professionals. Through classes and customized trainings, the Center offers services covering strategic planning, federal grant management, board development and more.

Organizing & Facilitation

A strong nonprofit sector requires collaboration and established networks. The Center will develop new and enhance existing networks of like-minded organizations in our region.

Advocacy & Education

The Center will work with community leaders to invest in nonprofits as essential community services and economic drivers. When we support nonprofits, we are supporting prevention. Nonprofits are a more efficient solution to intervention than government agencies and The Center will cultivate a united voice aimed at driving investments in critical programs and services.

Who We Are

The Center for Nonprofit Business is a division of the Reno+Sparks Chamber of Commerce. It is comprised of Jeff and Christi, who are recognized nonprofit leaders in northern Nevada with over five decades of collective experience.

Jeff Bryant

Jeff Bryant has successfully navigated Washington, D.C. bureaucracy to invest in nonprofit efforts focused on conservation and habitat restoration, agricultural education and research, and national service initiatives. During this time, Jeff has founded and built multiple successful nonprofits, developed and executed dynamic strategies with high-impact results, and led high-stakes negotiations resulting in historic conservation victories.

Christi Cakiroglu

Christi Cakiroglu is passionate about addressing systemic needs and collaborating with others to find solutions to our more challenging issues. In addition to working as an Executive Director for nineteen years, Christi has held various positions for local nonprofits and is a Board Source Certified Nonprofit Board Consultant. Her capacity-building expertise ensures that every nonprofit she works with has the tools it needs to support a fully functioning and robust infrastructure.
